WOOSTER, Ohio – The second annual createHER Day, an inspiring day of lectures, and breakout sessions led by women leaders, will be held on Saturday, April 13, from 9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m., in the Ruth W. Williams Hall of Life Science (931 College Mall) on the campus of The College of Wooster.
This year’s event will feature five women who will each give a presentation. Kimothy Joy, an artist, social activist, and author of “That’s What She Said: Wise Words From Influential Women,” will deliver the keynote address. She will also hold a book signing.
Other presenters include Kate Volzer, CEO and co-founder of Wisr, an alumni networking platform; Andrea Pierce-Naymon, founder of OY-L, an all-natural skincare line; and Janae Bryson, founder and brand stylist of Auden & Company, a media and branding company. Lisa Quine, an internationally-recognized hand-lettering artist, muralist, and graphic designer, will be doing a live mural for guests to participate in throughout the day, and Emily Harpel, founder of Art of Sucre, will be spinning cotton candy for guests.
Marina Rosales, event planner for the Center for Entrepreneurship at Wooster, launched the createHER initiative in the fall of 2017 with a mission to inspire women to become leaders in both their professional and personal lives through education and mentorship.
